Cancellation & Reactivation Policy

Applies To: All vendor and client accounts on GigResource

We understand that circumstances change. This policy outlines our simple and transparent approach to account cancellation and reactivation, ensuring you have control over your account while maintaining compliance with industry standards.

1. Cancellation Policy

How to Cancel

  • You may cancel your account at any time through your account dashboard.
  • The cancellation process is online, self-service, and requires no calls or emails.
  • You will be asked to confirm your cancellation and check a box indicating that you understand the consequences.

What Happens When You Cancel

By cancelling, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Your account will be deactivated immediately.
  • You will lose access to your account, files, stored data, and any membership benefits.
  • Membership fees already paid are non-refundable.
  • A final confirmation step will require your acknowledgment before the cancellation is processed.

2. Data Retention & Reactivation

We offer a 60-day grace period in case you change your mind.

60-Day Data Hold

  • After cancellation, your account data will be soft-deleted but retained for 60 days.
  • During this period, you may reactivate your account at any time.

Reactivation Terms

  • Reactivation requires a $4.99 restoration fee.
  • Once paid, your full account access and data will be restored.
  • After 60 days, your account data will be permanently deleted, and cannot be recovered.

3. Communication

Upon cancellation:

  • You will receive an automated cancellation confirmation email with a summary of what to expect.
  • If you choose to reactivate, you will receive a receipt and account reactivation notice via email.
  • Reminder notifications may be sent before your 60-day data retention window ends.

4. Transactions & Recordkeeping

Every cancellation and reactivation will be recorded as a unique transaction in our system for transparency and security.

Transaction Tracking Includes:

  • Transaction ID
  • Date/Time
  • User ID
  • Type (e.g., Cancellation, Reactivation Fee)
  • Amount (if applicable)
  • IP Address
  • Status (Completed, Paid)
  • Notes for internal tracking

All transaction records are maintained securely and can be made available upon request.

5. Legal & Compliance

Our cancellation policy is fully compliant with the FTC "Click-to-Cancel" Rule, ensuring:

  • A cancellation process that is as easy as signup.
  • Clear and conspicuous disclosures at the point of signup and cancellation.
  • No hidden hurdles, retention tricks, or misrepresentations.

Note: We reserve the right to update this policy at any time. Changes will be posted to this page, and continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. By using our platform, you agree to abide by this policy and all associated terms outlined in our Terms of Service.
